What's the difference between this and the Level 2 Gym Instructor course?

While the Gym Instructor course focuses on general fitness instruction in a gym setting, this course is designed to build coaching skills specific to improving strength, power, and performance - often in a sporting context.

Is this course more for coaching athletes or the general public?

The course is relevant to both. While it introduces concepts used in athletic settings, it's also suitable for coaching recreational clients who want to improve strength and movement.

Do I need any previous qualifications or experience?

No - this is a beginner-friendly course, though some familiarity with training concepts is helpful. We'll support you with everything you need to succeed.

Will I get practical coaching experience during the course?

Yes - you'll take part in practical coaching scenarios, learning how to plan and deliver strength-based sessions. These activities help build confidence and readiness for real-life coaching.

Can I use this qualification to work straight away?

Yes - you'll be able to take on assistant coaching roles or work with individuals or small groups in strength and conditioning contexts.

What progression routes are available after this course?

You can go on to take the Level 3 Personal Trainer course, specialise in coaching young athletes, or progress towards sport-specific coaching qualifications.
